The Sun

Sun marks time and my prints.
Shooting on large format cameras (from 4x5 up to 16x20 inches), I use black and white vintage silver gelatin photographic papers on my film holders, exposing them for long time, from seconds to many hours.
The combination of time and light intensified by lens dissolve what is not relevant and leave room only for the essence of the image.
The indelible traces and cuts leaved by sun on paper remind us how powerful as well as unrivaled the nature is.
This project allows me to photograph the landscape in somehow unexpected way; to get in touch with legendary enlarging papers; to create one of a kind prints and to be warmed by sun and a sense of bliss.
